Scottish Inns Henderson, NC

Bad area of town, looks kinda run down, questionable people staying there, but inside of room was nice: large, big bed, full kitchen & refrigerator, & clean.

First of all, dirt cheap! The least amount of money I have ever paid for a room, so I wasn't expecting much, but it was a necessary trip to nc and back, not a vacation, so I figured we'd do it on the cheap, but it turned out to be so good, we stayed there going and coming back, instead of just going like we had planned. Location can't be beat if you're traveling I-85, and there are several good food options within a few blocks, not fine dining, but good chinese and pizza. Room was clean and non smelly, huge new flat screen tv on the wall, free wifi, fridge and micro, and the three staff members I talked to were all friendly and helpful. The room was disgusting. Filthy The room smelled horrible It was infested with cockroaches. Pizza was behind the dresser. Almost a whole pizza and it had been there for awhile. Cigarette butts were under the bed. The bedspread was filthy and had cigarette burns in it. The carpet is so dirty. The man and woman that either run this motel or own it are so rude. They are two of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. That motel needs to be shut down.

Great location. Spacious clean room! A+ On Customer Service! Fastest checkin I ever experienced in my travels. Checked in around mid day and was comfy and relaxed in my room 6-7minutes later. Great Seafood Restaurant within walking distance of the hotel.

*Hair in the shower. Non-smoking rooms reeked of weed and cigarettes. Burn holes in all upholstery.Sticky counters. Clearly a local party destination. *We arrived at check in to find the owner and his wife yelling at a customer, arguing over late payment. *Loud bass-heavy cars roll through the parking lot at all times of night. 10PM until about 4AM to be exact. *Also near the local fire department. Near I85. *We weren't expecting much for the price but certainly not a bowery, which is what this is. Had we arrived earlier we would have found anywhere else to stay.
