Savannah Lodge Hotel

Found about a week before that I would be able to go down to the Pickwick area for the Labor Day weekend. I work for a major hospitality company and when there were none of my companies brands in the area I was a little disappointed. I really shouldn't have been. I made the reservation through a third party booking site for 2 nights. The check in was a smooth process even if it did require me filling out a form. The gentleman was extremely nice. I could tell it was a family business. The room was clean and comfortable. You always hear terrible things about the beds but mine was comfortable. The bathroom was dated but clean.. I can deal with dated and older as long as its CLEAN. The pool was sparkling and clean. My daughter and I spent those 2 days exploring around the area and

2 people, one chair, needed space for make shift office for work, there was room enough for a sm table/ chairs, had to stand up to eat, one nite no hot water to shower. They do sweep n mop daily, clean lines daily, I saw the big bucket of mop water, black. Must use same for all rooms

My sister in law, her daughter, and granddaughter had to book a room for a couple nights from the recent storm that hit the area. They all now have scabies from sleeping at this hotel! This is completely unacceptable! I have reported them to the health departments all the way to Nashville. I see this is not the first time some has reported some type of bugs at this hotel with a long list of other complaints! Clean yout act up to give the community and visitors a safe healthy place to lay your head.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. I booked a smoke free room ahead of time and the only available room was smoking so now I have to wash the stench out of my clothes/bags. The towels were dirty the bathroom was junky and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. To top that all off the lady at the desk made an attempt to double charge me the $71 for this crap room and had to argue all the way up to a video call from the manager. Then when I was walking out some lady swept dirt from the top floor onto me when I was returning the key. Waste of money and a good night's sleep.

Booked online for a short stay and when we got there they tried to force us into paying for two rooms. They wouldn't look at our confirmation page or anything. Luckily, we were saved by a walk-in who took the other room, but this place is managed by a family who do not care about your comfort or rectifying their mistakes. Also, the room was not very clean and we had cleaning staff try to enter without knocking. I hope they go out of business.
