San Juan Campground

Such a beautiful campground… we will absolutely be coming back! The camp host, Jeremy, made us feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks to him, the campground is in excellent condition and so clean. Highly recommend!

We got a beautiful FCFS site right on the river, it was awesome! Jeremy was an excellent camp host, friendly and helpful. He maintains the sites and bathrooms very well!

Sites are located right next to the river and you can hear the soothing sounds and easily walk down to the water to soak your tired feet after hiking one of the nearby trails. There is a road right next to the campsites which can be busy when folks are driving up to get to the trailheads for hikes. The campground is clean and well maintained by the campground host. We stayed at site #1 which offers more privacy than most of the other sites. All sites are FCFS. The pay station and camp host are located 2 miles away at Troublesome Creek campground. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. However he wouldn't honor our Access Pass 50% discount. The sites are only $27/night so it wasn't a big deal. The host was out of firewood for sale when we were there but we were able to purchase fire

Nice quiet campground, cost for 1 spot is up to $27 a night as of 6/14/25. Several nice places to put a tent within 20 feet of the river and not a lot of traffic. As others have said there's no cell signal for miles around.

Chill, clean, quiet, beautiful. Camp Host Jeremey takes good care of the grounds and is very helpful.
