San Clemente State Beach Campground Entrance

Genuinely one of the most beautiful campgrounds on the beach as far as LA or OC go, even as far up as Lompoc past Santa brabara.. the closest thing to compete is jalama. But though jalama has the benefit of being able to camp om the beach, it's not half as clean. San clamente is a beautiful site, with stunning views and the beach, including all nearby beaches are stunning. Highly recommend the premium sites, you can see the beach at all times. If not the beach is but 10 to 15 minute walk or a 30 second drive..

I stayed o/n 1/21/26, took a walk on the beach in the morning, came back to campsite124 before 11 am and found someone stole all my firewoods and a water bucket. Never thought the fellow campers could do that. The campground and staff were great.

No mention of the locked gate if you get into your reserved site late. No way to get in. Spikes in outgoing lane.

Nice campground, easy access to the beach with lifeguards present. Good surfing and body boarding spot. Campground was nice and clean and quite.

Place is great! Will be back
