Sall-Mar Resort

I rented a cabin to stay in for work and I had some circumstances arise before I even purchased we agreed that I could get a refund if I left i stayed 1 night before leaving and I was told yes you can get a refund minus a charge for 1 week. I understood that and said that was fine. But then I was ghosted and told the refund check was sent out i still have not received it 2 months later. Update- I received the check Kevin made it right and he had went through some issues and reached out to me and said he's sorry and he would send out the check asap. So I've updated my review. Thank you.

We stayed in two of the hotel rooms. Loved them! They very clean and temind me of mom and pop motels of the 70's. But kept up in good repair. And gre0at price. This year we are going back but we are renting a couple cabins. I cant wait. This is going to be a yearly stay, i think! To the person from Plainfield with the nasty review, go back downstate the yoopers dont need you picky old ways, go stay at a fancy hotel next time. Up here we like the rustic vibes that are clean and friendly. We dont need fancy, just clean and comfortable.

Very disappointed. Couldn't reach theowner by telephone or the door bell at the front door. It was better run by the old man when he was still alive. This has happened 3 times now. I won't waste my time next time.

A friendly reception by owner Kevin led me to room #1 of this old-timey road-side motel. The place is spacious and reasonably clean. A ceiling fan does the A/C job. Overall a good value for the price. With limited luggage capacity on my 2-week motorcycle tour, I inquired about a laundry facility in town. Kevin responded with the offer to do laundry for me with the motel's washing machine. What a pleasant service and surprise. He even rejected a tip. The further north I traveled, the nicer the people! Rapid River has one gas station with convenience store, three restaurants and a Dollar Store. Night time truck traffic on route #2 along the motel has the potential to disturb your sleep.

We needed a place to stay for a funeral in Rapid River, and Sall Mar Resort seemed like the right location and reviews were positive so we booked three rooms. Bob was so accommodating over the phone and just as accommodating in person. We were happy with the cleanliness and amenities and would definitely stay here again. You will need to find your own coffee, but otherwise, you'll have everything you need. I brought a little Keurig for the morning, and we all had our coffee with no inconvenience. This is a perfect place to stay in the Rapid River area.
