I should have paid closer attention to the mediocre online reviews before booking. Unfortunately, I booked this hotel for visiting guests who were staying in Anacortes for three nights, and I deeply regret that decision. When we arrived around 7:30 p.m., the front desk was already closed and the building was locked. The only person present was a housekeeper who was leaving for the night. We then had to figure out on our own that our room key was placed in a lockbox outside, secured only by a very basic and insecure code (our three-digit area code). We were never informed of this process in advance, and according to the booking information, the lobby should have been open. I feel like this hotel run by an owner/manager who doesn't need the hotel to succeed. It must be a great job to work here because it seems like everyone does minimal work. Like mentioned in a lot of reviews, they lock the doors and close the front desk after 7pm. I went to check out from the hotel at 8am and still no one at the front desk. Their breakfast was from 9-10 for some reason?? It's a clean hotel with decent rooms, but for some reason it seems like management is accepting a mediocre hotel when it could easily be great by employees actually working normal hotel hours. I will probably be trying the Anacortes Inn next time.

The Hotel is clean. Hotel Staff is non-existant after 9pm. Breakfast is supposed to be included in the price. 9am weekdays. No coffee service at all. We went elsewhere to eat breakfast. 8:55am no staff, desk is still dark. No coffee, and no staff preparing any breakfast at all. We will never stay here again. The price is what you would expect a higher level of service. The Majestic down the road in the heart of Downtown Anacortes is sooooo much better and closer to all the cute shops and marinas. Wish I would have seen these reviews before booking. Lesson learned...Always check tripadvisor!!!

Positive: Great location, new and clean Negative: Hotel was great. The person behind the registration desk was almost never present. Any questions or concerns I had for the two nights were left unanswered.

Buyer beware. We were charged a $10 service charge, for what, I don’t know. When we got to the hotel at 9pm, our key was in the lock box. Our room was at the very end of the hallway on the second floor. Our room door was open with the bathroom light on. The security lock was in place to prop open the door. This was upsetting to me. My husband went into the room and checked it out. It was empty. We called the manager, she was off property. She said it was fine to stay. If we wanted another room we would have to wait for an email, reregister and go back outside for another key and room. We decided to stay. I told her the floors were dirty and hadn’t been vacuumed. The sink in the bathroom was still dirty. In the morning there was no regular coffee, only decaf at the Keurig. No tea, no condim
