Royal Rest Motel

For the price point it was perfect, came up for race weekend. Had hot water(i love hot showers) room was clean, staff we did encounter was friendly and parking was great. If we have a need to be back that way will def stay again.

This motel has a little problem with the entrance to the property because there is no concrete there, just a dirt road where you need to enter the property. There is also a big section of dirt/mud in the center of a large u-shaped footprint of the motel with the rooms along the edges of the square unpaved space. But in front of each room there is a paved place to park, so your car is not sitting on dirt, but it drives through dirt to get to the room. It is quite strange. Inside, however, is delightful. It is an old fashioned place with wood paneling on the walls just like in the sixties. It was a little bit nostalgic for me in that respect. The rest of the room is updated and very, clean. Nice little motel. No long walks down corridors. Pull right up to your door. Very clean, good rate. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Large flat screen TV. Tons of channels. Straight shot to Knoxville, 30 minutes. Great place to stay race fans or race teams. Huge gravel parking lot. Parking spaces are paved. Adrian is a great host! I guarantee you'll be back!

Basic room. Old school Motel that was clean and has what you need! Not sure why there is bad reviews. Like that it's not just another chain Motel/Hotel! Don't be afraid to give it a chance!

The staff was friendly the room was clean and was reasonably priced compared to all the other places.
