Royal Inn

WOULD GIVE ZERO IF I COULD Absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at The Royal Inn in West Palm Beach. My reservation was canceled on arrival because of a so-called “pipe burst” which, by the way, no one bothered to notify us about until we physically showed up to check in. We were in town for a concert, arrived around 7:30 PM just to drop off our stuff and get ready, and instead were told “oh, sorry, there’s a pipe burst” as if that somehow excuses their complete lack of professionalism or basic courtesy. While we stood there, one of the receptionists was being downright rude to another customer over the phone literally talking over them and snapping like it was an inconvenience to even do her job. I rented a room and found the conditions to be far below par. Many dead bugs found in sink. Heavy rust in sink, unknown black substance in cabinets which i hope was not mold. Broken seal around bottom of front door which let water in when it rained. I took one of their white towels to try to dry it some. The towel turned dark brown from the filth in the carpets. It was as if the carpet had never been cleaned which made the entire room smell bad. Missing towel bar. Unkempt grounds; empty beer bottles outside. Just terrible.

We were nervous given all of the old reviews mentioning bed bugs and bad service But, I have to say this may have been one of the nicest motels we have ever stayed at especially given the price. We believe it’s under new management. We ran a uv light through the room and it was SO clean. The service was great, although we don’t require much. We didn’t get to use any of the amenities, but the pool looked really clean. We would’ve used it given the time. The only complaints we have is that everything is kind of old. There were holes in the comforter, the furniture is old and creaky. Our tv was a little discolored and old. But these complaints do not override the price. Generally speaking, if you’re looking for a place to stay for just a couple of nights, this is a strong contender. I really

Room was ok. The sheets were clean. Just has that old worn out moldy stank smell and they have the nerve to say I can't smoke in it. Like it would matter. Dr Feelgood was down the hall so that helped. Coke machine in front got me for 50 but they leveled up.

I called twice told the person answering the phone that I was disabled and using a rolling walker. Was told fine and quoted a price. When I went to pay for the room I was told no room for you because you use a walker
