Royal Hawaiian Motel

5 stars. This place is great - Very reasonably priced, Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, and the staff have been nothing but kind and accommodating. The property is extremely clean and well cared for, and appears to have a recent renovation. The location is very convenient , just a few blocks from the 10 freeway, and close to popular areas like Melrose, The Sunset Strip, Hollywood, and Downtown LA, and the beach is only a quick 15 minute drive. Overall I was very impressed with this place and would highly recommend it.

We stayed at this Hotel for 5 nights. Found the hotel to be very dated. This was the first thing we noticed. Second thing was that it took the bellboys 40 mins to get our bags to the rooms travelling a distance which took us 5 mins. ||Pros: Location||Cons: Uncomfortable Beds, Very Old Hotel with a Tiny pool, Service was very average, breakfast service was pool and the food quality was just average. ||Problems: You have to pay $50 per set of sun beds which was very odd for me given that we were at a " beach resort ". On top of that it is practically impossible to get a booking even on a paid basis because rather than have people come and go as they please on the sun beds ( generally one can't bake in the sun for more than 2-3 hours) , because people pay $50 they have the beds for the entir

Cheap price but lacks tons of things, pillows are not comfortable and you only get 2, blanket is very thin like a prison, they don’t have water machines, their TV the only thing works on it is the turn off and on button, good thing about it is that it’s quiet, but overall experience is not horrible but not the greatest

You get what you pay for, the sink was a bit clogged, the shower curtain was falling off so the bathroom floor was soaked after my shower, and the shower pressure was like a rocket. No conditioner, but otherwise it's fine

This place was great. The price was very reasonable. The room was really clean and nicely decorated. The ceiling had clouds and birds that an artist painted. The room had mirrors at all the right angles to be freaky without looking trashy. Whoever owns this place takes really good care of the property unlike the other motels on La Brea. The only drawback is how thin the walls are. You can clearly hear *everything* going on in the rooms on either side of you. So, if you're easily bothered by hearing other people doing the things people do (talking, snoring, getting rowdy, watching T. V.) you'll be better off going someplace else. If noise pisses you off, you won't like this place. That's not the owners fault, though.
