Royal Beach Club

The location of this place couldn’t be better—it’s about a 3-4 minute walk to Times Square and virtually right across the street from handy 7-Eleven. There’s only one condo set closer to the Square. We stayed in 109, one of only three 3 bedroom condos that view the beach (the rest are pool view). Another prime location point, as you can watch the sunset right off the balcony. We previously stayed in 110 next door a few months ago, and 109 is much, much nicer. The pool area is great—very clean and wonderful to have given the immense Florida heat. We also used the shuffle board a few times, which was so fun! The only con of the place are the front desk staff. Not friendly at all, either time we’ve stayed here. Like they’re inconvenienced and annoyed. This time around, we walked downstairs in

Great place to stay, the best location on the Island, we rented bikes instead of a car and had a blast. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Condo was well stocked, extremely well priced, private beach was well maintained, lots of lounge chairs available and pool/hot tub was amazing as well! We'll definitely be back next year! This place holds deep seeded sentimental memories of my childhood, so I am rather partial. My parents purchased a time share here in 1983. Every year, once a year, we would come down for the week and a splendid week it always was!! Mind you I am 42 years old now, 40 years of summer visits, with my now grown 3 siblings, and of course mom and dad. I much prefer this part of Fort Myers Beach (at the north end of the island) as it is quiet. Most people that come here to "party" will do so at the famed "Lani Kai" hotel, that is right along the strip, bar after bar, sprinkled with maybe a half dozen restaurants. The Royal Beach Club isn't real fancy, it is turn-key, with most of the decor a tad out dated. But hey, we're here for the beach right? Time spent in the room is for breakfast, lunch and

I won a week stay at the Royal Beach Club Resort. I was very impressed with the accommodations. The office staff were wonderful to work with. Always pleasant & eager to please. Wonderful people. Great location. One of the nicest stretch of beach in Florida. Within walking distance to everything you need for your stay. Resort pool bathrooms and hot tub need to be updated. The condos were clean. Biggest complaint would be how rude the staff is. Every phone call made to confirm our stay or ask questions entailed arrogant and rude replies. The women running the front desk are nothing but mean. They need to go. Most resorts have happy smiling faces that greet you and are happy to have you return for future stays. I'm glad to see I'm not the only reviewer who feels this way.
