We just returned from our stay at the Rowland’s house and it was FANTASTIC! Upon arrival were kindly greeted by Renee who was the sweetest. Our room was extremely clean with a beautiful lake view. Dinner at the 1833 restaurant at the Inn was spectacular and our server Ben went above and beyond. If you’re looking for a nice getaway look no further. Can’t wait to return and hopefully have our wedding there in the near future.
We stayed here for my cousins wedding this past weekend. Everything was beautiful. The Rowland house is stunning. The rooms were comfortable and the inn keeper was available at all times. Such a beautiful property overlooking the lake. I highly recommend a stay at the Rowland house.
On our way through New York we decided to stop off for a couple of days at Rowland House to break up our long drive. It was an excellent plan! ||||The location is lovely, on the southeastern shore of Cayuga Lake, and our room (#4) had a wonderful view of it. On arrival, Renee oriented us to the property and in short order we were enjoying a glass of local wine and some nibbles on the patio. Our room was quiet, spacious and lovely (with that great view!). On our first evening we enjoyed a bonfire and s'mores on the lakeshore. On the following day we explored the area's wineries (plus a local brewery). While many people do come for wine tasting, Rowland House also provides a calendar of things to do (yoga, walking tour of the town, etc). While we chose to relax this visit, I expect next time
Beautiful historical renovated homes overlooking the lake. Great for weddings and social gatherings with large or small groups. Fantastic service and food. Cute town to explore including wineries in the area. The location is upstate New York, so Mountain View’s and Lake Views while traveling to the location. If traveling from the New York, Long Island Area, it is quite a drive, especially when there is construction. If no construction, 6 hour drive, if construction, could be up to 8 hours or more. If not in a hurry, enjoy the beautiful scenery and take your time, it’s a real nice drive, but worth it. Because once you get there, you will have a wonderful, extremely comfortable stay. The Houses (Hotels) have an individual that will take care of all your needs once there. You will cheris
My husband and I stayed two nights in early October, 2020. Everything about the Inn is special. The decor is gorgeous and every public space is comfortable and welcoming. The amenities and service make this a truly special experience. The innkeeper, Renee, was top notch, always available with information, a glass of wine or smores for the firepit! One of the very best thing about the Inn were all of the gorgeous outdoor spaces. There are lovely areas to sit on the porch, on the lawn, by the lakeside firepit and on the upper deck of the boathouse. Our room had a lovely lake view, was spacious and comfortable. We will be back!
