Root 66 Rv Park

We made it there late at night but the place and the people were kind and welcoming. We’re from Argentina and on a trip around some of the great US…hope we make it back sometime. Highly recommend 🤗

We pulled in with no reservation and was able to get a full hook up spot for a 40 foot RV for only $45. The owners are very nice, the park is clean and quiet. If you need a place to park your RV for the night, we highly recommend this place!

First long trip with our "pre-owned " Holiday Rambler. My wife and I met the current owner after a 2nd flat tire put us on the other side of the freeway from the rv park. It was after hours, sign said closed but called and got Come On In for an answer. We talked next morning about our coach and how much work it may need. He also explained that if I wanted to do the repairs myself he'd move us down a few spaces where I wouldn't bother anyone. With all the troubles we had up till this point of the trip ,manager treated me with respect, didn't try to squeeze every nickel out of our pockets and offered me help with a great number of things. This campground is small and from the looks of it, the owners are in the process of remodeling and improving the parks infrastructure . But the main reason why they've earned such high marks is for their compassion for animals in need. While staying in the rv park two stray dogs entered the park searching for food and water, both dogs though dehydradted and emaciated were very friendly and in desperate need for human intervention. We did what we could for the animals, but unfortunately we were scheduled to check out that day and could no longer care for them. We approached the owner of the RV park, a dog owner himself, who happened to have a large dog kennel which he gladly volunteered to house and care for the animals until other means of care could be provided. With a passport discount, the price was right. It is easy to get to and the owners were friendly. It is fine for an overnight. I personally like the kitchey decay to be found on route 66. It has history. Great area for photographers and instagrammers to explore.
