Alien Acres

Alien acres is a great place to stay! Bruce and his dog are super nice. Dark skies give you incredible views of the stars. Close to petrified forest north end- about 25” away only due to driving slow. The alien art is on point! There are burrowing owls on the property that are so cool to see. Jackrabbits too. Can hear coyotes at night in the distance. We even saw a space x launch. Washboard dirt road to get there but easy to do in a car or 2 wheel drive vehicle no problem. Just call Bruce if you get lost and he gives great directions. Totally worth it beautiful agates in the soil you could look at them all sorts of colors around the ranch in the morning. You could see all these cool handcrafted aliens in spaceships Bruce is really nice. Really good service beautiful cactuses there’s all so

Bruce and his dog Lester were awesome! They took us in last minute and provided an excellent camping experience. The roads leading to it are a little rough and it's better to call when you get close so Bruce can provide directions. GPS doesn't do a great job out there on the backroads. But if you want a true camping experience, this is the place to go. Beautiful view of the night sky and you don't have to worry about anyone invading your privacy.

Mister Bruce and Lester proudfoot, his trusty companion are the greatest of hosts you could have! He was very informative, helpful, kind, and very respectful of privacy! His out of this world campground is wonderful and pet friendly!! Being pretty far out, you can see how bright and beautiful the stars are at night. It’s very quiet and calm which was a nice time for relaxing next to a warm campfire. During the day the view is very pretty and you’ll even see critters running about, which he’s friends with and takes great care of! I enjoyed seeing his creative work with his campground when you enter, nothing more space like than alien acres :) Thank you Bruce and Lester for letting us stay! I met Bruce while scoping out some property for sale near his location. Bruce is great! He is incredibly kind and helpful. He provided insight and clearly has a lot of knowledge about the area. We even had a chance to meet Lester. Bruce gave us more than an hour of his time and we greatly appreciate it.

Sweet spot for anyone looking to be weird in the desert for a while. Not too far from I-40 but far enough that you're not really dealing with the traffic noises. The coolest part, to me, is being able to rent a spot out for months at a time and just homestead it. If you've got a rig with solar, this is a great place to kick it. The owner, Bruce, is very laid back and good to talk to. Bonus if you're into Star Trek.
