Customer Reviews
This was a beautiful campground. The lady, Leslie, in the office was amazing and kind. I enjoyed my conversations with her. The facilities were clean and in excellent condition. The wildlife was abundant.
The road to the park is very beat up with lots of potholes. The service was very subpar. We got all hooked up, including all our sewer hookups just to find out that the electricity box did not work so we had to change sites. I think if you are fisherman, this may be a good park to go to. We just stopped for a couple days on our way to the beach, but we probably would choose another place in the future.
The cabins are a bit dated but functional. The view from the deck cannot be beat and it's beautiful to just sit, relax & watch the sunset on the water. The hosts are just fabulous and so nice! It's also great to have a place where we can stay with our dogs. The area around the cabin was neat & tidy; we loved the picnic table and building a fire in the evenings. It was all so peaceful and quiet and we'll definitely be back again! Notes - Do be sure & take paper towels and dish soap! And, if you enjoy cooking, you might want to bring your own utensils as the ones provided are an odd collection & rather cheap. Even still, it is SO worth staying here!
We stayed here for 10 days and I loved it. It does get busy but you actually get your own space and you're not up in the neighbors living room camper..lol The beautiful sunsets over the water and the fishing was fun too. A lot of wildlife in the area and the birds I could listen to for hours. They do have fire pits for each site, water and sewer hookups. Also showers, bathrooms, hiking trails, pavilions, small park and boat ramp. You can also rent cabins here or even pop up a tent. The park rangers are very friendly, kind and willing to help with anything. We did try to rent kayaks but unfortunately they didn't have any in working conditions. Overall a great place to camp I'd definitely come back.
We had a most relaxing time. We arrived and were very welcomed. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had the site that fit us perfectly. The view - gorgeous! Was very glad to have a washer/dryer to use. We stayed one month (great rate). We would recommend to all who are looking for a quiet relaxing experience. Thank You
