Rodeway Inn Willington North

Overall these reviews are worse than it actually is. Yes the building is old and run down, but the room has everything you need and is clean. The building has a faint smell of cigarettes but I could not smell anything from my room. The service could be a little better, the two at the front weren’t the most welcoming. I never felt unsafe but i certainly wouldn’t stay more than one night, and would use this place as a last resort.

Not okay. As soon as you walk in the hotel doors you are smacked with a cloud of cigarette smoke and smell. Got this room for family staying out of town. They did not touch the floor or bathroom shower barefoot, luckily they had sandals. Carpets are disintegrating and I am sure the room and bathroom are covered in mold. The shower had hair in it before they even used the bathroom, the shower curtain seems to have mold, the pillows were stained with grey or blackish things. Breakfast did not look safe to touch nevertheless to digest. It was just cereal, toast and donut holes and coffee. The company really needs to shut this place down and clean it up, gut/demo and remodel. Wish we took pictures but they couldn’t wait to get out of there.

I am not a picky person at all, and I am very easy going. But I was shocked upon seeing the gross conditions at this hotel. I arrived about 2 am and was shocked to see the bed in my room. There were two large yellow stains in the middle, and there were hairs on the bed sheets and pillow cases as well. I went back to the front desk to ask for another room. They gave me another room, but that was no better. They said the first room was even better and said all bed sheets are washed. I was seriously concerned about the possibility of bed bugs or other health issues from using their bed or towels. I spent the night in my car and couldn’t even go back to the room to take a shower (due to my health concerns about using their towels as well). I left the key on their counter early in the morning,

The large parking lot in front of the Willington, CT Rodeway Inn was pitch black and full of ice as was the sidewalk. No one was at the desk to either greet us or to check us out. The carpet in the room was covered with stains to the point where I didn't want to take my shoes off. The comforters were full of cigarette burn holes. The TV didn't work. The microwave was filthy. The bathroom door was a weird sliding wooden door with the handle cut out and gaping hole where it used to be. The shower curtain was mildewed and the shower control was full of gunk and hard water crust so we didn't even want to go in it. Breakfast was supposed to be included but all that was there was an old pot of coffee and a gallon jug of milk. Both of us were suffering from allergies but there were no tissues, ev

The staff (the owner) was doing his job fine. But, the place really needs to be renovated and cleaned up to the standard. The carpets throughout the hotel did not smell right. Once you walk in, you smell cigarettes. The breakfast choices are toasts and cereals. Very simple. The worst thing was the beds. The top cover and pillows were smelly and could not fall asleep easily. Had to put towels on the pillow to muffle the smell. I understand that the price was lower but had to meet the standard and at least offer a comfort to the guests. We could not walk around with bare feet on the carpet or felt anxious to sleep on the beds.
