Rodeway Inn & Suites Monticello

They seem to be in the process of closing down. The swimming pool is empty - no water and no plans to refill it ever. They serve no breakfast. Room was dirty. Our toilet was plugged and so they brought us a plunger and handed it to us at the door - made no effort to unplug it for us and never checked with us to see if we got it unplugged. The freezer in our fridge was so frozen with ice that the door would not close. What a dump. Monticello would be a good place to put a nice, family friendly motel.

Dirty and run down. The bathroom vanity faucet was broken, if you pulled hard enough you could get hot water. The drain stopper was missing. The toilet lid was broken. There were stains on the comforter. The office chair was tattered. The AC/heater would not turn off when you turned the switch to off. The carpet was worn and icky.|The town has much to be desired, getting hot food is a challenge.|It’s only value is the proximity to Canyonlands.

rooms beds seem clean , room in general is clean and does not smell, TV provider is direct TV. , for me its ok , I like the hotel B/c staff seems friendly and they care about your stay the hotel has most of the things a person would need for a comfortable stay for the price , it could use some repairs such has the concret as you drive in to the property, and around the shower up high but the bed was decent for a night or two and clean

Enjoyed our stay at this Rodeway Inn. The bed was clean, the rest I had to lysol myself. None of the surfaces had been wiped, it was visibly noticeable. Also lots of dust. Check in was easy and clerk very friendly. Complementary continental breakfast was a nice start in the morning to get going. Cute place overall.

The rooms were okay and so was the breakfast, although limited. No staff at the check (pretty much always when we walkes by), you had to call them first before they would show up. You could literally see through one of the towels that is how old they were, another one was yellowish instead of white. My biggest point is the communication about the pool though. We did not book for having a pool at the hotel, so that we could not use it didn’t really bother us. But stating that it is closed because of maintenance while no one is fixing anything is simply lying to your customers, which I hate! (According to the reviews this note is already there for several years.) Then just say “pool out of order” but not based on maintenance reasons when this is not true!
