Rodeway Inn & Suites Haines City - Winter Haven

It was clean and very adequate for the price. The location for me was very good and it is obvious that the owners are trying to improve the property. I liked the way all the rooms were on the first floor. I found the room a bit dark but shower water pressure and temperature were very good.

What a terrible experience. I stayed at this hotel for the Ironman 70.3 as the location was great. A night is usually around $70, but because of the event the manager more than doubled the rate and I paid $160/night for 2 nights. Because this is a budget hotel, I didn't have high expectations, so I wasn't too shocked to find the ripped curtains, tears in the office chair, and a small hole in the wall. The problems came after I woke up after the first night and had to shake ants out of my clothes that I had left on the table. After showering I saw multiple cockroaches and decided to cancel my second night as I couldn't spend another night with the roaches and worrying about them getting into my luggage. I arrived the male receptionist was super friendly I loved my room a lot of tv stations to watch| Awesome stay thank you. A few miles down tje road I was able to get gas a lot of great places to eat| Fantastic location. This area has exploded I hardly recognized it I remember when it was all farm land. I would definitely go back and stay another night at this place.

The choice hotels app rating system seems to have been hacked because the property rating in the app is much higher than google reviews. The google reviews are the correct version. The room had dead roaches in it. The pillows were so thin that they could be replaced with a sheet of paper and no one could tell the difference. We only had a top sheet to sleep with after removing the gross cover. Only two towels for four people. The “white” towels were gray and stained with black marks - it seems they have never seen a drop of bleach.

Plain but very clean room. Door to the room didn’t always open when using the key. The mechanism didn't always engage. Very frustrating. The tv remote didn’t work. Was given a new one, right out of the box and it didn’t work. Finally was given on that worked. The front desk staff, Quenton(?) was quite helpful.
