Rocky Shoals Cabin Rental

We were looking for a week long Tennessee cabin honeymoon stay and wanted it to be something special and unforgettable - that’s when we found the “mini-cabin” at Rocky Shoals that Ed had just built. We were blessed to be the very first ones to stay in this romantic, cozy, clean and well furnished cottage. We woke up with the sound of the Watauga River just a few yards from the loft bedroom window. We enjoyed toasty fires every evening with a fire pit at night with supplied firewood and ate dinner outside under the stars at the picnic table just outside our front door. Great location, perfect for getting to so many outdoor and historical adventures. We are already making plans to come back and enjoy this next year!

The cabin we rented is very nice. Perfect place to trout fish. Also, it’s very quiet and peaceful. I plan to stay here again in the future.

The Cedars Cabin is a wonderful cabin. The setting on the Watauga River is amazing. Fly fishing was wonderful. This property is under new ownership since our stay in the summer of 2024. The cabins furniture and beds need upgrading. Hopefully the new owners have done that, considering the price increase.

This was a great spot for a fishing family trip. We rented both cabins and we had all we needed. Cabins were clean and beds were comfortable. The firewood was even furnished for the fire pit. Amazing place to trout fish, or relax on the porch. Already planning next year's trip.

This cabin is absolutely wonderful. The host put such detail into building it, truly a labor of love. It is right on the river, with an inviting porch that overlooks the river. There is also a fire pit outside. The only "negative" is that the shower is the smallest I have ever been in. Definitely recommend!
