Rock Creek Fisherman's Mercantile & Motel

We stayed at Rock Creek Mercantile for one night and it was wonderful. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and absolutely stunning views! The next morning John (and the very clever, door closing Duke!) greeted us in the fly shop which was an anglers dream. We spent more than we should have (we always do), but we are always happy supporting a small business! John was so friendly, and gave us some tips on what flies to use and some spots to see (like the swinging bridge!) on the road along rock creek. 10/10 will be coming back again one day.

What a lovely, friendly, experience. A friend and I were driving from Seattle to Minneapolis and she had stayed there on the way out. We decided to stay on the way back as well. The motel rooms were clean and well-eeuipped. The owner, John, couldn't have been nicer and the store is adorable and very well equipped for sundries as well as fishing supplies. He is knowledgeable about the area, having grown up just a few miles down the road. There was a wonderful food truck with breakfast available as well. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Don't miss it. It is conveniently located off and worth a stop on any road trip.

What a cool little place. We didn't do any fishing (maybe next time) as we were just passing through. Very friendly, clean and good fresh ground coffee.

We loved our stay here. The location is phenomenal, with the creek a few steps up the road, and hiking/walking trails around. We were visiting Missoula, and this is about 20 minutes east, but it's worth it for the relaxing feeling. The rooms are very clean and the staff is helpful and professional. They are open 7-7 every day, but if you arrive after hours, they are more than willing to accommodate you. Hopefully we'll be back.
