Roadhaven1830

We had a wonderful stay! We came up to Harrisonburg for Family Weekend at JMU, but all of the hotels there were either full or too expensive. So glad I stumbled across Roadhaven 1830. It's an easy drive, about 30 minutes north of JMU, and well-worth the drive. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything one could want or need...fridge, microwave, Keurig, glasses, to-go coffee cups, hairdryer, luggage rack, full-length mirror, coat hooks, even local tourist information. It is close to the interstate, so we could hear the trucks when we first walked in, but the noise machine in the room blocked that out when we went to bed. We chose the summer night setting which matched the location perfectly. Linens were crisp and fresh and check-in and out was simple and fast. We were not there

The Family Farmhouse Inn was wonderful for our romantic getaway for Memorial Day weekend! The communication from Julie was great. We stayed in the Aloft which was absolutely perfect for our needs. The backyard was super cute and beautifully landscaped. We loved swinging on the swing and relaxing from all of our adventures from the day. It was quiet and you really don't notice the traffic noise from I-81. I would stay there again, it was a wonderful experience.

We needed just a one night get away and Julie was able to accommodate us. Everyone else had a 2 night minimum. This worked out perfectly. The Farmhouse was beautifully kept. We were in one of the two smaller buildings. The furnishing and space were very well kept. Clean, modern, and exceptionally well maintained. The lighting on the outside was excellent. Walking around at night was safe and well lit. The property overall is kept very well. 5 stars all around.

One of the more interesting and quaint Air BNB you'll find. An old farmhouse with 2 out buildings with 2 floors each. Each floor is a suite making 4 suites in which to relax. The rooms are smallish but how much time do you need. I was very comfortable in my lower suite with it's own tiny porch to drink a beer and slow down for the day. The grounds are very well maintained work bright white fencing and beautifully manicured gardens and grass. The backyard fun zone allowed for ax throwing, fire pit chats and a number of other quiet entertaining endeavors. The only non perfect thing was it's proximity to interstate I-81. A very very heavily traveled N/S interstate. You can hear the traffic, but it quickly fades to noon existent once in the suites. My only issue was parking. It's a gravel

The sheets are 100% cotton. It was a cold evening, the room had plenty of blankets, the beds were comfortable. Personal touches included a sound machine, allergy resistant pillows, eco-friendly bath products. The farmhouse grounds are beautiful, with a ground checkers game, fire pit. The grounds were well lit at night. I would return to the Family Farmhouse Inn.
