Riverside Inn and Cottages

We live nearby but wanted a one night getaway from our normal routine for Valentine's Day weekend. Riverside Inn was perfect. We stayed in the Folly Cabin, which has a giant shower and a comfortable area with a sofa to relax. The scenery was beautiful, the room was cozy and exactly what was expected, the location was great, and the staff (especially Laura, Kat and Joyce) were outstanding beyond words. Customer Service is through the roof here, making sure your check-in and out is simple and easy, and even putting personal touches on each room. The communal kitchen has everything you need including a continental breakfast and some cookies for late night snacking. It was such a great stay. Keep in mind, this isn't one of those fancy, modern hotels, so don't complain. It is a cozy B&B style c

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! The property is in a perfect location within walking distance to shops, food and the beach!! Super clean room and very comfy bed!! Best shower ever!! Huge and had two shower heads with super hot water and great pressure as well!! Even with rooms so close together, it was almost like we were staying there alone! So quiet and private! Check in was SO easy and check out was even easier!! We will be coming back to stay here again in the future!!

All buildings are insanely outdated however Turtle Nest needs to be updated asap. Just a few things I noticed: - downstairs bed is on an entirely old box spring and very uncomfortable - downstairs bedroom fan has 1 setting- full blast or off - downstairs shower has no liner therefore the bathroom floor is soaked after a short shower - downstairs bathroom mirror is about 5 inches wide -tvs are entirely small Front desk also occasionally answers phone. Also are “unable” to access cameras even if something sketchy occurred or an item was stolen. I enjoyed my quiet stay but noticed a few things that other hotels have already updated years ago.

We stayed at Riverside Inn and Cottages in the Folly Cabin and it was perfect! The location is awesome! Just a quick walk to the beach, And they’ve thought of everything. They provide beach chairs, umbrellas, all the stuff for sandcastles, you name it, which made beach days so easy. It was also right up against the marsh which was tranquil and relaxing! The continental breakfast was such a nice touch. Plenty of coffee options (big win!), plus yogurt, granola, and always fresh fruit (and much more offerings). A great way to start the morning before heading out. The cabin itself was super cozy and spotless. What a great place. I've stayed twice in the last 6 months and had such a good time. The staff is great, property is amazing, and the location is right in the middle of everything. Already planning our next trip!
