Riverside Campground

I had an outstanding experience. It was March, and I try to keep my lodging costs low when I travel, so I camp when I can. There was an unexpectedly warm week, and I reached out to see if they let me camp really early in the season. They're open year round, and were very cool about it. I had a terrific tent campsite, non-electric, right by a peaceful stream. Nobody bothered me, everything was quiet, and the restaurant serves terrific food right there. I absolutely hope to return, the rates are amazing, and I feel like I got tremendous value. I probably wouldn't stay here on a warm weather weekend, just cause they probably get packed, and I like it quiet. But during the week, absolutely I'd stay here again. Thanks so much for letting me tent camp, it was great!

Don’t come on a Saturday night. They had a band start playing at 7:30 & played till 10:00 the music was obnoxious and way too loud. We had family come from out of town and it was so loud we were not able to have conversation over the noise of the music. I understand everyone has different styles how ever 21/2 hrs is way too long! They need to be considerate of other people who have other plans. We have kids who are trying to sleep and can’t because of all the noise. We mentioned this to managment and they just shrugged their shoulders and said they can’t do anything.

My husband and I found this all year campground when most were closed or full. It was a perfect weekend in November with temperatures in the 70’s. Our site was located by the open field but when we arrived we were relocated to a spot facing the River. We were so happy because the view was beautiful. The leaves still vibrant with color and the water reflecting the beautiful colors. We had full hookup and stone ground though there were many concrete slabs. Thursday night is wing night at the Riverside Roadhouse (at the campground) so we sat on the outside deck. My husband enjoyed the wings and I had a burger special with salsa and avocado with adult beverages. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. | Saturday and Sunday we walked trails at Ricketts Glen state park and Montour Prese

What a great place. Restaurant and bar on premise. Sites are right, but well maintained. Will be back.

We stopped to eat here was asked how was your ribs , my response absolutely terrible .. probably the worst ribs I’ve had, wanted to throw up . Bartender says to a guy working what can we do? His response don’t recommend em to anyone else and laughs. Bartender wasn’t allowed to take them off my bill without getting permission from the owner🙃.i said I’ll just pay my bill and still left a nice tip…
