This property is pretty run down and not at the standard that we are used to; however the staff is friendly and very accommodating. The view of the river from the upper floor is nice, and the IGA grocery store is right next door in case you need anything. The room smelled musty when we first arrived, but we aired it out and then it was fine. We had plenty of towels and also a fridge and microwave, but the pillows and bedding are old, the bathroom door would not latch, and it was hard to find the right temperature for the a/c. You would think that a small town in Kentucky would be beautiful, but Burkesville, just isn't... everything here was pretty average, with only one option to get a hot breakfast with no hot tea.

Positive: Location near the river. Negative: I ended up burning a candle long hours because the unit smelled of mold and mildew.

First and foremost, the front desk attendant was very kind and pleasant. Now, let's talk about our stay. We traveled to Burkesville with a friend and his parents for River Festivus. They stayed at the same place and said their room was fine. Ours was disgusting. We booked two nights for the festival and decided to count our losses and go home after one night. The bed sheets were visibly dirty. The bathtub was visibly dirty. The shower curtain was so gross. The smell in the room was terrible. I don't like giving businesses bad reviews. I just don't. However, I would want to be warned about something this bad. Judging by other reviews and my friend's experience, you got a 50/50 chance of getting a decent room.
