Riverbend Park

Actually a REALLY nice place to spend some time. For the most part, quiet and well maintained. Trails are good. Lots of grass for the doggos. Bathrooms as well. Nice trail. People just need to learn that not everybody wants to say hi to their dog.

Needed a spot to allow our Goldendoodle to burn off some energy before we headed to wineries and this was the perfect place. Absolutely gorgeous with about a mile one way of paved trail along the river. Also had some non-paved paths running parallel. There is a really nice disc golf course, as well.

Our local community sponsors many festivals and events, in this lovely park. In June we volunteered to help with parking, at the Lavender Festival. There were many local vendors and artisans supplying everything from craft lemonade to artistic ways to use lavender. Visitors could sample everything from lavender drinks like hot chocolate, and tea, to cookies and other baked goods. For lunch you had your choice of healthy salads, ice cream or frozen drinks, nachos and Korean corn dogs. The kids love the Korean corn dogs and went back twice for more! There was an excellent band playing, that I never did get the name of. I wish I had because they were wonderful! Beautiful expansive park with great facilities, awesome park maintenance, spectacular views, disc golf park, dog friendly. One of the best parks I have been to, nation wide.

We came here on a Saturday with our two dogs and it was fantastic. What a beautiful and amazing park for dogs and the whole family. It’s and off leash area and the dogs can run around by the river. There are benches and waste bag stations and many trash bins. So comfortable. The views are amazing on Colorado River and the mountains around Palisade. Highly recommend when you have a dog and need a walk.
