River Valley Inn

It was a pleasant surprise after a very stressful day. The owners were friendly, fast and efficient. Our room was cozy and clean. We slept in a very comfortable king bed and woke up in a better mood.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and very affordable. Good location too. I'd definitely stay here again. The owners are lovely.

This hotel is terrible. They would not let us cancel a reservation when my husband was not able to travel because of health reasons. The confirmation email clearly says to contact them within 2 days for a full refund. We cancelled 3 full days beforehand. He tried to say he couldn’t do the cancellation that it was done on another site. The only email we had was from their hotel. He then had the nerve to tell me he was going to run our credit card the next day even though he knew we were not able to travel. He did our son the same way.

The room was adequate and the beds were comfortable. I had to put a towel on the blinds in the bathroom because the window was on the front walkway and the blinds didn’t close properly. When I called for the reservation, I asked for a double queen. I wrote down a quote of $150 per night. I was making a lot of reservations around the northeast and I don’t remember if that is correct. Anyway, Chris sent a confirmation and no prices were listed, so I knew something was wrong. I tried calling to find out the correct amount and no one would answer so I guess they recognized my number. Then they charged my card $703.00!!! I felt like I was PRICE GOUGED! I got a basic room with 2 queen beds and an uncomfortable couch. For $350.00 a night there should have been some kind of coffee pot in the ro
