River Mountain Lodge

We booked a two-bedroom, three-bathroom cabin. It was surprisingly spacious. It has two sofabeds in addition to the king size bed in the master and two twins in the second bedroom. It could easily fit 8 people. The kitchen is also well equipped with pots, pans and utensils and there is a washer and dryer combo in the unit. Great location too. You can catch a free shuttle across the street to go up to the ski area and a lot of restaurants on Main Street within walking distance. Subtract 1 star for charging for room service.

We booked this lodge for convenience to town and the Quandary Peak shuttle. On arrival it was apparent that these units are probably individually owned condos/rooms that are rented out off-season by a management company. Check in was smooth but the front desk informed us that they were putting a $200 charge on our credit card as a "damage deposit". We were told this would be refunded as long as there was no damage. What??? You don't get this with any hotel that I've come across. The room was comfortable enough but there was no cold water next morning, and then no hot water the morning after. We informed front desk who were "aware" of the problem. Our friends booked a room on the same floor as us and their windows were covered with plastic as there was painting going on outside. My husband and I just stayed here for the first time and it was AMAZING!!!!! For real we had the best room perfect for two people!! We had a fireplace, full kitchen, and there was an outdoor hot tub feet away from our room!!! I can’t stress enough how amazing this hotel was. We got a room but it felt more like a condo!! It was sooo lovely!!! And only a three min walk to downtown Main Street where all the shops and restaurants are! and there were multiple busses passing thru to take u to the gondola or any other destination u might want! Then we were only a 15 min walk to their famous Isak trolll!! It was the most perfect location!!! This hotel was AMAZING!! And had a rental gear store right next to it!! Highly recommend ppl!!!!

Our condo was really nice with high quality furnishings and everything we needed. Plenty of room and quiet at night. Decent view of mountain. Used hot tub (indoor and out) as well as sauna. Excellent location off 4:00 lift. Cool lobby and bar plus downstairs restaurant and highest tiki bar in the world. What more would one need? Elevator out of service a few days but then fixed. Also very close to main street and Eric's!
