River Haven Cabins

Awesome place by the river. Cabin was clean and homey. Two cats came by to say hi and meow for attention. View is over the top.

We’ve been staying at River Haven for over 30 years. Absolutely love the location & the cabins. They changed management for the better awhile back & it shows. The cabin was spotless & they have very good communication about what they provide, etc. We were there last week Tuesday through Thursday for 3 nights & it was wonderful as always. Love just sitting on the porch & listening to the river. So peaceful. One thing we really like is that it’s on the back side of the Frio away from Hwy 83……..check it out!

This location along the Frio was excellent! We had a nice view of the river from our cabin and easily accessed the banks of the river. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked with kitchen supplies. My daughter enjoyed the playground on-site and my husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. The communication with the staff was easy and they were helpful.

Beautiful cabins with AC! We’ve stayed with family in cabins H, I, J (accessible) and P. The grounds are well kept and the cabins are clean and cute! They all have decks with picnic tables as well. The kitchens are well stocked with pots and pans. They have a full size fridge, stove, microwave as well as coffee maker, toaster and blender. The Frio River access is awesome and they have canopies reserved just for River Haven guests. 5 stars ⭐️ in my opinion!!

We just finished our 5th summer stay at River Haven cabins. We absolutely love this place. I look forward to coffee on the back porch, overlooking the river all year. Over the years we have all enjoyed not only the river but the playground, basketball & volleyball on site. The river isn't too deep in this area so we liked that safety feature when our kids were young. When the water is up you can tube from up river right down to the cabins. When it's lower there is still plenty of water for floating around there & playing. It's very family oriented & peaceful. River Haven provides linens, starter supplies, plenty of dishes/pans/etc. There are a couple of small stores nearby as well as restaurants, souvenir places & Garner State Park.
