River Edge Inn

I reserved this inn for my son and his father. They said it was very beautiful and the staff there were very pleasant . When I had called the front desk to reserve another night, the front desk clerk told me they were under construction and were actually closing that next day for renovations. All I could think was, if it is that nice now, just wait until the renovations are complete. Highly recommend! Next time, I will be joining my family there!

Staying at this hotel in downtown Gatlinburg was an absolute delight. The location alone is unbeatable—right in the heart of everything, with shops, restaurants, and attractions a block away. Everything is walking distance from this hotel. You can park your car and forget about it, which makes exploring the town effortless and stress-free. (Traffic in Gatlinburg can be pretty crazy in peak season). The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready with a helpful recommendation. If you're heading out to explore the Smokies, this hotel makes the entire trip easy and comfortable. A nice, smaller motel with a friendly staff. Our room was very clean, with comfortable beds. This is a great location for walking, and there is a trolley stop out front if you prefer not to walk or drive.

Dirty, old, smells greasy and the rooms are small. There are no closets, anywhere to hang clothes or store luggage. The linens reek of stale grease as though they are not being properly washed following health department sanitary guidelines. There’s no maid room service. Holiday Inn Express and IHG use these hotels for overflow guests. They will not work with you to relocate to another hotel. An overall terrible experience.
