My week at Ring Lake Ranch was magical. The combination of vast mountain scenery, hikes offered at the level of the group, rustic but comfortable lodging, good food, and excellent programming with discussions was everything I could ask of a spiritual retreat. It truly was life affirming.
Everything about Ring Lake Ranch is magical, peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating. I absolutely love the area, the staff, the food, the activities, and especially the freedom to be as involved or as secluded as you’d like to be. Every part of the retreat week is meaningful, intentional, and thoughtful. Ring Lake Ranch is perfect if you’re seeking solitude or community, whether you want to have a week full of fun activities in nature or if you want to read alone on your porch or on a rock. So many visitors become regulars. It’s such a special place.
This unique place is a dude ranch with a purpose. There is an excellent horse riding program, mountain hikes, fishing, nature walks, morning worship (if you wish), and massage available. But also stimulating evening programs — if you wish to participate. The weekly topics are diverse: Native American history, geology, singing, etc. most people stay for a week. Great for families, couples and solo travelers of all ages. A sense of community developments over the week. Many people return multiple times.
I rate my stay at the ranch as excellent because of how I was informed about what to expect and the warm welcome I received upon arrival! Although traveling solo, I was offered just what I needed during my week-long stay. My cabin was far more comfortable than anticipated, and the panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountainous nature were soothing. I enjoyed the meals and cleanup comradery. The group hikes added so much to my adventures! I will always remember hiking to Lake Louise! I applaud the team at Ring Lake Ranch for offering a complete week of rest, reflection, and dialogue that gave me renewal.|I look forward to my next visit! ~ Carol
The ranch is a wonderful combination of the Chautauqua experience and a dude ranch. Imagine that this is at a beautiful, remote spot in Wyoming with great people dedicated to your physical, social, spiritual and intellectual development and you have a glimpse of the power of a visit to Ring Lake Ranch. A temporary community is developed among those who are there for the program and you may meet friends you could have for a lifetime. There are lots of team building opportunities including shared clean-up tasks and riding and hiking groups. Food is quite good, accommodations are comfortable despite the rustic charm. College and seminary professors as well as clergy are part of the staff that is friendly, accessible and clearly dedicated to making the experience of Ring Lake Ranch a beauti
