Chinook Winds Lodge

Husband and I decided to go on a last minute New Year snowmobiling trip with a couple buddies. Booked the 2 room suite through Expedia for an incredibly great price!!! The suite was so clean & cozy!! They have decent parking for trucks & trailers! They have a great hot tub and a super cute barrel sauna that looks out over the river!! Such a cute place! You can tell they are really putting work into bringing this gem back to life!! We will definitely be supporting them again and again and again!!!

The cabin was clean and comfortable. It has a well stocked kitchen but unfortunately the kitchen faucet was only a slow drip which made cooking and cleaning up difficult. The bathroom water pressure was good. The bed was comfortable and the gas fireplace in the living room was a nice cozy touch. It sits beside the river and offers lounge chairs and a hammock to enjoy. Very nice experience.

The Rustic charm of the rooms makes this the perfect place to stay if visiting the "Wind River Mtns" /Fitzpatrick Wilderness Area. Large room that was very clean and had everything we needed for a week's stay. Short walk to the downtown area for anything you might need. Price was very good compared to many of the other hotels in the area based on cleanliness, amenities, room size and more. Jake was extremely pleasant and more than willing to help us with anything we needed as well as provide tips on local hiking and wildlife viewing. Booking thru Carla was very easy as she seemed genuinely concerned that our stay would be enjoyable. Great place and we will be staying again in the very near future.

I stayed here before heading to Grand Teton. The facilities were excellent, and the scenery was stunning. It’s a place where you can enjoy the convenience of a hotel and the charm of camping all at once.

The room was very cute with wooden decor to mimic a log cabin and the beds were comfy! However, the toilet sits between 2 walls and the space is only a few inches wider than the tank. Very bad layout and practically impossible if you're a larger person. The internet connection was a bit intermittent, but decent overall. You can hear every step the guests above you take, but we heard no conversation or TV, etc. It was rainy so we weren't able to really enjoy the firepit or hot tub, but the outdoor games were great! We were unable to receive a gym code, so that amenity was not available. The hour drive to Grand Teton is longer due to current construction just outside of Dubois. No fault of Chinook, ofc! The staff were very nice, but not always easy to reach. We had to visit the front desk,
