Residence Inn by Marriott Youngstown Boardman/Poland

Dear Sir/Madam/Mx: I’m writing to share my compliments having stayed at the Residence Inn Boardman, Ohio. I originally stayed at the Fairfield across the street and decided to consider the Residence Inn. I walked over to view a room so I could decide based on this. Kenita was tending the front desk alone. After servicing the other guests waiting, she walked me to an available studio room. She also showed me a 1bedroom suite. It was nice to see another option of which I was previously unaware. Based on the viewing, learning the property offered crockpot oatmeal (rather than instant) and my positive experience with Kenita I decided to reserve a room. Positive: Location Negative: You show a spa in the pool area, and they don't have a spa. The bathrooms very old and dirty. We had to buy shower shoes to use the bathtub to take showers. This place needs a makeover.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are all outdated, things are falling apart, and they were absolutely filthy. Our first room was so appalling I asked for another. The second was less unclean, but still gross. We didn’t have any other choice but to stick it out and leave as early as possible

I am a big fan of the Residence Inn brand and have stayed at many of their hotels. This was the most disappointing one I have ever been in. If this was my first experience with the RI, I would not be back. Where to begin… the entire hotel needs to be remodeled or at least get a deep, deep cleaning. The carpets appeared dirty, the room smelled funny, the furniture was old and looked a little suspect, the tile had spots, the shower had scars, the toilet was loose, the black out curtains weren’t big enough and let light in. I’d give it a one, but the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Definitely needs some care

Our room was clean, very good price, close to everything. Staff was wonderful. Helpful with our little hiccup, went above and beyond. Will definitely stay here again.
