Hampton Inn Youngstown/Boardman

Nice room. One of the better for a Hampton inn. It’s a shame they advertise a heated pool and then barely heat it. So cold kids don’t want to swim in it. Close the pool or heat it. We are looking for a heated pool to rent a room like 4 times a month so the kids can swim and this isn’t it. Such a shame. The entry to the hotel is a little odd but other than the pool, it was nice. Breakfast is ok. Hampton good. lol.

Positive: Nothing at all Negative: It does not deserve the Name in the building. This place should be a Red Roof

Very nice place. I assumed a remodel took place as everything in the room was new. New carpet smell. Breakfast was good and they have a nice gym and pool. Only problem was being able to hear everyone around you move thru out their room. Very thin walls. But a very nice place in a good area.

We stay here a few times a year, as a one night stopover on the way to & from the east coast.|We’ve stayed at various hotels in the area and this Hampton Inn is one of our favorites. |Rooms are clean and comfortable. The counter in the bathroom is a good size with plenty of room for everything. |Front desk and other staff are pleasant and super friendly & helpful. |Breakfast has cold and hot options:|-eggs, sausage, potatoes, make your own waffles|-grits, hard boiled eggs, yogurt|-apples, cold cereal, bagels, bread, muffins |etc| |My only complaint is the strong perfume-y scent(air freshener?) that was very noticeable when you walk into the lobby. Those are migraine triggers for me.

Bad experience, booked here with our hockey team, check in was 3 pm, everyone arrived between 2 and 3, first family finally got their room at 5 pm, last family didn't get into their room until 7 pm, because they only had one cleaning lady, which you can't predict how that plays out, but as a chain hotel that was unacceptable. We are not even going to get into the elevator situation
