Residence Inn by Marriott Stillwater

Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Pros: Great location, helpful & friendly front desk, spacious room and a pool that was actually heated. Cons: trash and recycle were not emptied and drain in the shower was backed up so if you aren't quick then the water gets up to your ankles (because of this, the tub needs a good scrub down). We had somewhere to be by 9:30am, came back around 10:50am and the key was already deactivated, even though check-out isn't until noon. Front desk was nice about it and reactivated the keys so we could pack up.

The room is lovely, but, several things were not. The check-in was agonizingly long (there was no line, just my check-in, and yes, I had a reservation. I had actually called a few hours ahead to ask if I could have a room near My son’s. The answer was ambiguous but I did hear, “I have you in 219.” Instead I was on the 4th floor and my son was in the room next to that one. I chalked it up,to being a busy graduation weekend. |When I finally got to my room, the key didn’t work. I returned to the lobby only to have to wait for another person’s long check-in before the desk clerk took the 10 seconds it required to re-program my key. (The same thing happened on my second night, returning after a long day, having to return to the lobby to reset the key.) |The room was not thoroughly cleaned. The

Hotel is under going renovations. I appreciate the hotel doing this. With that said, I did experience some issues, mostly resolved by hotel staff. When I checked in my first room was not ready bed wasnt made and room loiked like housekeeping just forgot it. The front desk got me another. It was better, however when room was cleaned, every 2nd day, all that was done was bed made, linen not changed just made. Trash under kitchen sink was never emptied. Also the door was sticking lioks like some type of glue around door frame very loud to open door, to be fair I didnt report to desk. All in all good stay not the best but by far not the worst.

My stay at this hotel has been a positive experience. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They tend to be available, helpful, and accommodating towards whatever needs I may have had. The location is easily accessible, well managed, well maintained and kept up with. The guest rooms are fresh, clean, and nicely furnished, decorated, and well maintained. The kitchenette areas are well designed, have updated appliances, full size refrigerators, and provide the dishes/cooking supplies to be able to prepare full meals whenever desired. This is, in my opinion, the best hotel in Stillwater, OK.

The stay, we had here was wonderful! By far, the nicest staff and management I have ever met. They made us feel welcome and at home. Five stars ⭐️ if I could give more I would!
