Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia Valley Forge

This is a really beautiful set of apartments really. There are two stories two bedrooms a kitchen a fireplace. It’s like an apartment and two bathrooms and it’s $175 a night. The only thing I would say is that the two bottles of water that cost five dollars that are sitting on the dining room table are ridiculous. I mean just charge $185 and don’t insult people. And the front door you can see light through the door jam, which isn’t affecting the heat in the place as far as our comfort goes, but it is costing them money and they ought to do something about the weatherstripping, but it’s really a beautiful place and it’s right by 202. It’s a perfect location if you want to be out out of the city. Your minutes away from the school Expressway from 202 from the turnpike.

Manager Bernice is welcoming and friendly. However, it’s downhill after that. Our loft room was spacious but dirty and outdated. Our comforter had clearly not been washed and had brown debris/dirt or feces on it. Walls are filthy. Found hair balls in different areas and seriously needs a deep clean. Worst of all was the maid service-they came while we were out and left the latch over on our door, leaving the door propped open. We had been gone for 8 hours so who knows how long it was open or who came and went. Every night the smell of weed filled our room from the people under us. We will never stay here again.

Wow I want to give a huge shout out to the managers and staff here at the Valley Forge Residence inn. The property was so well kept and clean! Breakfast was great, the check in staff was friendly and happy to help. The room was well appointed. You can tell whomever is managing this place is on top of things. I'd highly recommend. We stayed with our kids and would definitely go there again.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn Valley Forge. It was so spacious, with a loft area, sitting area with fireplace, kitchen area with full-sized appliances including a stove with oven, sink, dishwasher, full-sized refrigerator, and table with 4 chairs. The beds were super comfortable. Our family had plenty of room to spread out. It was super-quiet there. Although there was traffic noise outside the inside was totally quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this especially for families!

I spent a night here with my family, and I can confidently say that I will never return or recommend this place. The check-in process was great; we arrived early and were immediately offered a room. However, upon entering the two-bedroom suite, we were hit with a strong smell of smoke on the walls. The bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned, and the furniture needs updating. Sleeping was uncomfortable at night, and the extra sheets in the closet had a body odor, as if they hadn't been washed and were just placed back in the plastic bag. When I called the front desk to report this, they asked me twice if I was sure, making it feel as if they doubted my honesty. I anticipated more for the price, especially for being part of the Marriott.
