Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Philadelphia Valley Forge/Great Valley

We travel frequently for hockey- and normally when we stay at a Marriott , we are met with pleasant hosts and great accommodations. This was the exception. The receptionist, Ashley, was rude and clearly had no desire to be there. She snapped not only at me, but at the person in front of me. My husband booked the hotel using our Marriot card, which also has my name on it. We have NEVER had an issue with me checking in, however in this instance she said that I would need to call him. No problem, I called and instead of being halfway pleasant, she snatched the phone from my hand and spits into my phone asking in a RUDE, condescending tone "who is this lady in front of me". My husband- ever the diplomat- says my name and then , in an attempt to garner a laugh, says "unless you mean the little

There is a complete lack of cleaning here! My room hasn't been cleaned for a week. I'm also a Marriott Ambassador member and I requested a late checkout and was denied. And I discovered a course for bedbugs on my legs. This is what they sent me by email about the cleaning policy. They clean the room and change the bed linens only on the 6th day of your stay!

The night agent that checked us in wasn't very friendly and had quite an attitude. The property is loctaed quite isolated in a community full of apartment buildings. The breakfast was okay and the cleanliness as well. Although it's been remodeled, it's already getting worn down and the parking was very limited due to a whole construction crew blocking every other parking spot which made it impossible to get a spot on the hotel's lot. Instead, we had to drive around to the next lot which isn't directly conntected to the hotel.

Terrible customer service experience. My colleague mistakenly booked this hotel instead of the nearby Fairfield where our group was staying. When she called to correct the error, she was assured there would be no charge. The hotel still billed her and has refused to issue a refund. Considering the similar names and close proximity of the two properties, this was an easy mistake to make. Had she been told upfront that a refund was not possible, she would have kept the reservation.

Wonderful new hotel in a great location. Staff was very friendly. however, there was blood on the comforter. I came in late just took it off the bed. When I brought it up to the manager, Marie she offered me a free night which was very generous. I emailed her, no response. I would check your bedding before you sleep.
