Residence Inn by Marriott La Mirada Buena Park

This was not the best Residence Inn we’ve stayed in, but the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect for us as we were disc golfing in La Mirada. Also close to Knotts and Biola. We love the layout with a common area and 2 bedroom / 2 bath for our family. The breakfast was awesome and the beds were comfortable. The location was dated, with a few things that were broken, such as the bathroom vents and a window shade that wouldn’t go down. But it was super clean and the important things worked well like air conditioning and refrigerator.

Room 111 - motion detector light in bathroom could not be turned off, and with no door to close to bedroom, if someone gets up at night for the bathroom, full light goes on and wakes others up. Maintenance couldn’t turn it off. Couch smelled like dirty feet. Put our towels on the floor on housekeeping day, but the one my husband had used and put on the floor with a stain was back on the towel rack. And they didn’t smell very clean. Free breakfast was awful, eggs tasted like powdered eggs, but claimed to be ‘cage free’. OJ was watered down, not much was hot. Housekeeping was every other day (which was OK), but staff only left 2 coffee pods - if you notice residents have used a lot of coffee, wouldn’t you leave more? Could get it in the front desk, but had to remember to ask. And coffee flav

I stay regularly at this Residence Inn, and the entire staff is consistently excellent — from the front desk to maintenance and the grounds crew, everyone makes guests feel welcome and cared for. On this visit, Becky from the breakfast team stood out with an extra-thoughtful gesture. She noticed me juggling a plate and a couple of cups, went to get a bag, and when I had already stepped outside, she actually found me to offer it. It wasn’t required, but it showed true attentiveness and proactive care. Room and location wise: this hotel is a great value. It’s an older property, but the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and fully stocked. The location is central and very convenient for my needs.

Positive: Outstanding staff, hot breakfast, location, parking, price. Negative: Could use updated rooms but hopefully it won't compromise the price too much if they do upgrade.

Elizabeth, the lady at the front desk, is so sweet and helpful! Very understanding, and the service here is top tier. Thanks for the amazing experience! I hope to stay here for a long time.
