Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford Avon

My experience at the Marriott was amazing! I needed to stay for two weeks while I waited for an apartment to be made move/in ready. The courteous staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied. My two elderly cats were welcomed without hesitation, and staff were accommodating when I asked that they defer housekeeping because it would be stressful for the kitties. I could walk to the Whole Foods next door, and to Dom’s Coffee for my morning cup when I wanted a change from the very nice breakfast provided by the hotel. The location is excellent because it is less than a mile from several of my favorite local restaurants. I did not have occasion to use the laundry room or fitness center, but both were well-equipped and spotlessly clean. In short, I cannot say en

Great, Great, great service!!!!. From the moment we entered the lobby, Lucia at the front desk made us feel welcome!!! We felt like family :) She was knowledgeable, checked us in with ease and directed us to our room. Needless to say this was after she shared the places, things to do and places to eat. It made our hearts happy to experience such great customer service. Please acknowledge her for the wonderful job she is doing. We also met Wendy from housekeeping, and she mirrored the same great customer service. Needless to say we will be recommending this hotel to everyone we know. Thank you Marriott for employing such great employees.

The room was clean and tidy, which is all I can ask of any hotel. However, we all know that many fall short of this low bar, but I was pleased to see that the Residence Inn Avon exceeded this. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. I did have a hard time finding the lobby, but I believe that's because my driver dropped me off at the rear of the property. It would have been great to see some directional signage to let me know where the lobby is located. On this stay I booked a studio, which included a spacious kitchen and bar area. There was a 2-burner ceramic cooktop, full sized refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. All were clean and well maintained. Clean utensils, clean dinnerware, and clean pots and pans provided. No oven, of course, but I wasn't expecting one anyways.

Common areas were so clean and the staff really cared about their jobs. Hotel is a bit dated but room was clean and had the extra towels we had asked for prior to arrival. Breakfast was meticulously maintained. Great running/biking/waking trail across the way. Amazing coffee shop across the way at Coffee traders.

The room was great. It was in a convenient location. There was an annoying beeping throughout my hotel room and the hotel as a whole. It was super annoying it made it very hard to sleep. I looked all around the room to try and find the location of the beep but one time I left my room and realized it wasn't just my room it traveled throughout the hotel. This made my stay rough as I came to work and on top of sleeping on a 3rd shift schedule I had to somehow sleep with this beeping going off at random intervals. The rest of the hotel was very clean and nice. I didn't check out any amenities but my room was nice and clean.
