Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach/Oceanfront

In spite of being taken back by the exuberant valet fees that were not clearly outlined in the reservation information, it was a great stay. Beautiful rooms with beautiful views. Literally directly on the beach. The ocean was a little too rough for my little one and shell collection on this particular Beach is difficult. But the pool was heated to a great temperature to enjoy. Even in cooler temperatures. Outside. Hot tub was crowded more often than not. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Some things that they don't mention necessarily when you book online, if you are a Marriott bonvoy member, there are some nice perks on check in. Breakfast was a huge plus for our family of 5. It certainly incentivizes you to stay on property for the morning. I would love to have access to hot

We spent a couple of nights and had a great time. No issues on the trip. Room, pool, hot tub and beach access were perfect for our short getaway. Valet service was top notch. Frank was the best! He was always helpful with having our car ready and entertaining our kids with some pickup soccer while we loaded/unloaded.

This was a great place to take our first vacation with our 10 month old. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was never too crowded and the breakfasts were delicious. It was great to have the kitchen option and the ability to do laundry. The hotel provided a pack and play for us which was clean and nice. It was an easy walk to the beach to check out the ocean. The room was a good size for our family of 3 and I would definitely recommend this place. I did not love having to valet, but other than that, no complaints! I would definitely recommend this place to others if you are looking for a laid back family vacation.

Overall, my stay at Marriott Residence inn was okay, with a mix of positives and areas that definitely need improvement. I was upgraded to a better room, which I really appreciated, and the room itself was very nice. The ocean views were beautiful, and the location is excellent—right on the beach, which was actually pretty good during our stay, even though the weather was a bit cold for us. The pool area looks nice, but the pool itself is very small, and the hot tub always seemed to be full of people, so it wasn’t easy to enjoy. Breakfast was a standard continental setup with limited options, but it was acceptable for what it was. One thing I strongly recommend is clearer communication regarding the lobby area. My wife and I have over 600,000 Bonvoy points - I only mention this to illustrate that we travel a lot and have been in many Marriott properties and this one is a real stand out! The rooms are great complete with an in-room washer/dryer, and the staff was just great - with a special nod to Anastasiia at the front desk and Ari in the Zoe's restaurant, both went beyond the call and my wife and I are very grateful. Needless to say, if it fits your budget - I cannot recommend the Residence Inn Pompano Beach / Oceanfront strongly enough, it was just wonderful (even the breakfast was better than usual).
