Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Concord

Positive: This hotel is so convenient for my purposes. It has everything we need-laundry, food, kitchen, gym... The bed was very comfortable. The staff is very nice and responsive. It's so easy to checkin/checkout; parking is great. Negative: the room could have been a little cleaner and there were a few items that needed repair.

When we travel to the Boston area recently we have tended to stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Littleton, which has a good location for us. But at Christmas time especially, those rooms are too small (really cramped with huge furniture) and need updating. So this year we went back to our old standby - the Residence Inn in Concord. This is really the perfect hotel for us. The suites are so well designed. I love the closet area with a large dresser. I always unpack and it was great having enough space to put everything away. Plus we always have to buy things to help cook Christmas dinner at the relatives and the full size fridge allowed us to store everything easily. We just spent an amazing 3 nights at the Residences Inn by Marriott, Concord/Boston! The staff is exceptional - all around, Grace was sooo wonderful. Check-in was a breeze. Our 2nd floor room (211) was like a 4* resort without the AI! Nice kitchenette with full-size fridge/w ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, stovetop and microwave and dishes and cookware. The room is quite large with a comfortable bed and bedding. The large TV that is on a nice mount is viewable from the bed or the kitchen counter. The bathroom is nice with a roomy shower stall. Self-parking is easy, and the location is ideal for many of the towns in the area. Also for employees or visitors to the Emerson Hospital the hotel provides a discount, which is nice. Overall a wonderful stay!

We stayed here two nights just before New Year's and had a great visit. Tucked away in a suburban, almost residential office complex with understated architecture (per local zoning I would guess), it's a roomy 3-story hotel with lots of parking and the typical spacious rooms and features of a R.Inn. Minor ding as they didn't have the staffing to do room cleaning every day (which is now pretty typical), although they delivered extra towels and bedding when we asked. And yes, we tipped pretty generously. The breakfast was ordinary, not outstanding. Guessing there's only so much the limited staffing around the holidays can do, and for the overall price . . . it was worth it 100%, Yes, would come here again.

We've stayed here several times when visiting family in the area and like it very much. The staff is very friendly and does a great job. I want to give a special "thank you" to Ruby who was at the reception desk when my husband had a medical emergency in our room. She called for an ambulance and stayed with us, letting me use her cell phone so I could talk to the EMS dispatcher while waiting for the EMTs to arrive. I did not get to see her again to thank her in person. My husband is fine now and we hope to be able to see her the next time we are in the area.
