Renaissance Meadowlands Hotel

I almost always use Marriott hotels and am a BonVoy member|Although this hotel is convenient and found the room to be clean and well-maintained. I was not happy with the front desk staff to start with at check-in. They did not have any kind of good personality or explain anything to me about the hotel. I had pre-checked in and all I did was give my key card point to the elevator.|When I got to my room, that was my biggest disappointment by choosing a room based on the picture as I always do, I look for a king guestroom with a couch |This was a king guestroom no couch |I stayed the night and when I was checking out in the morning the gentleman I spoke with was pleasant however, there was another woman standing there and quite snippily stated well you need to read the description of the roo

I freaking love it here. I didn't leave a review during my first visit (which was also amazing btw) but after this 2nd visit I definitely needed to take time to leave small feedback. The staff is incredible here and really take this location to a different level. I wish I knew more of their names but I at least have to give a special thanks to Ivy, Linnette, Dez, and Michael who took great care of us at the front desk and another shout-out to Gloria upstairs in the lounge area. They made us feel REAL hospitality. It was actually genuine and not just being nice because of some training video. I left here BETTER than I arrived. Thank you so much Renaissance Team. The room was not clean upon arrival. There was long hair everywhere, including on the sofa chair. The refrigerator was extremely dirty and leaking water. We had to request housekeeping to remove the hair and clean the refrigerator. I asked the front desk if we could be moved to a cleaner room, but the request was denied. The front desk agent, Ivy, was very rude and impolite to us, yet spoke kindly to another guest, which felt discriminatory. Paying $316 for a night for such an unclean room and poor service was very disappointing. Was’t expecting such a poor service for a premium hotel under the Marriott brand.

This was my 52 stay at Marriott property’s this year! I can’t tell you how incredibly happy we were to stay at this hotel. The rooms were excellent the location was perfect. We went to an NFL game, they offered quick and easy transportation to and from the game! The club lounge was excellent with amazing service. The bar was fantastic! The one thing that really stood out and made the experience one to remember was Ivy! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was great, but it was Ivy from the front desk that made us feel welcome and appreciated as guests and people. She took time to accommodate our needs and made us feel welcome to ask for anything we needed. She called us to make sure we liked the room and made us feel like stars.
