Regency Inn Los Angeles

We have been on the road for a week, and our budget travelers, so have stayed at a variety of hotels. This one was so great, I had to write about it. It was a wonderful refreshing one night stay. This is a clean, safe, and family friendly place. Despite being on a main road with great food, it was not noisy because rooms are set back from the road. The room was roomy, clean and have everything. They have lovely touches like a ceiling mural, water pot to heat water for tea, Keurig coffee machine with plenty of coffee, and water sense toilets to conserve water. They also had other amenities, fridge, microwave and hair drier. But it was the little things like flowers in the parking lot and cylinder pillow to put under my knees as I worked on my computer in bed.

Positive: Convenience and the coffee maker was excellent!! Negative: Did not like the stairs. Wished there was an elevator

Water softener chemicals make showering dangerous (highly slippery) and you can never rinse off or drink tap! A NIGHTMARE! Do NOT come in a heat wave (Jan-Feb or June-November) : a/c auto-turns itself OFF, won't come on for hours at a time: no buttons to override it. Came back from an exhausting day to a furnace of a room, hot & humid, so couldn't sleep! Paper thin walls. Dogs barking all night next room. Pit bulls allowed to launch at you. Shady homeless vibe: LOUD smokers of all kinds of drugs sit on the stairs or take turns outside your a/c smoking out your room. Sink turns water on by itself, bathroom door won't stay closed no matter what. The housekeepers have an attitude and are very rude and untrustworthy. HORRIBLY OVERPRICED it's a dive, folks! Small, family-run place with basic but comfortable rooms. The beds were firmer than I expected, which I liked. There’s free parking, which is rare near Glendale. Staff were polite during check-in. Not fancy, but solid value

My room was nice and clean. The problem I had was it is located on the 3rd floor. No Elevator. Carrying all my luggage three flights of stairs almost killed me. Ask for a room on the lower floor.
