Red Roof Inn Murray

I need to counter the recent reviews of this specific Red Roof Inn we stayed two nights in Murray KY just before Christmas. Previous reviews gave me pause but my husban had already booked so, for the great price, I agreed. Pleasant surprised! This property has recently undergone an update, at least cosmetically, as we had noted in driving past in November. ( had stayed in this as a Holiday Inn years ago so I knew it had some age on it.) The room was comfortable and clean as was the bed, although the mattress felt as if it had some age on it. Big tv and new fridge and microwave. You do get what you pay for: outside entrance but upclose parking; no breakfast but one-cup coffeemaker. I’ve stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Murray a few times, and it’s always been a great experience. The staff is super nice and makes you feel welcome right away. The rooms are clean, cozy, and have everything you need. It’s in a great location too — close to food, shops, and Murray State. It honestly feels like a second home whenever I’m in town. Highly recommend!

Garbage level hotel. Sticky carpet. Stains on walls, booking stating a breakfast, zero breakfast. Before you book a room. Take a look around the building. I failed to do so. I was in a room that could be adjoined to another room, I could hear the person snoring in the other room. You are better off sleeping in your car. Dirty plastic silverware left in drawer. Gross. gross. Gross.

This was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The room I was in did not look like the pictures. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The receptionist was very nice!
