Customer Reviews
I had made reservations at another pet friendly hotel, due to remodeling being done. The floors were going to be sanded and stained.. When my service dog and I went to check in unfortunately something caused my dog to bark twice. I was told I couldn't stay. Red Roof Inn came to the rescue at the last minute. I was able to book the 3 days immediately at a fair price, Also when I called and mentioned I had a service dog. They went the extra mile to make sure we were on the ground floor, right next to area that the dog could be walked. What a nice surprise after telling them what happened. The room was neat clean, also it looks to have been recently remodeled. After riding around for a hour., trying to think where I could stay the owner was very nice.
Check in was not an easy or welcoming process. The front lobby was locked and has a sign to call someone to be opened for you. I called no short of 6 times in a row before someone answered and begrudgingly opened the lobby and asked “Why are you here?” Explained we had a reservation on booking.com and then the check in process began. It took, without exaggeration, 10 minutes to be checked into the room. Not a single word was said to me during the actual process - just in the beginning I was asked for my ID and card and at the end I was just given my room key. The room was subpar for 130 dollars. The bed was not comfortable, the TV did not work, and the room smelled of stale spices used for cooking. I requested a different room and was told no - the hotel was not filled by any means. I also
The Red Roof Inn in Freehold was magnificent. On the outside it looks like any road side motel. On the inside magic begins. I tried it for one night and decided to stay a week. Sha and his staff treated me with surpurb service. The room was immaculate with modern shower, cabel TV, big comfortable bed with a white comforter and white linens. The coffee maker was great and the staff made sure I had plenty of Java. When I left for a few hours my bed was made, clean towels and wash cloths were provided and my coffee and creamer was stocked. Thankyou Mr and Mrs Sha.
Looks can be deceiving, and the reviews on this place only increased my concern. But...I had an overwhelmingly positive experience here. The outside of the building looks less inviting/kempt than the rooms themselves. The owners and family are very welcoming, respectful, and friendly. The price is reasonable as well. The room, bed, shower and microwave were clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Only downside was that the wifi stopped working a few times. All things considered, I will be staying here again.
The room was very clean. Everything worked perfectly. The staff was extremely nice. I’d have to say it was a very easy and pleasant experience
