Red Roof Inn – Alsip, IL I want to share my experience and provide honest feedback. I stayed at this location from January 21–23, 2026 with two adults and two children and paid $210 for two nights, but this was unfortunately the worst Red Roof Inn I’ve ever stayed in. When I arrived, the room with two beds I originally requested was unavailable. It was located in the back of the building with no visibility to my car, which made me uncomfortable. I was then shown a different room, and due to being tired, cold, and late, I felt pressured to accept it. The room I stayed in did allow me to see my car, which was essential because I travel with two service dogs (one alert dog and one PTSD dog) and two emotional support cats. I was driving through the Chicago area searching for economical pet friendly lodging and booked this based on two misleading reviews that were at the top of Google and the photos are very misleading as well. I felt unsafe and the room we were put in (409) smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and the furniture was badly scratched/damaged. The front desk guy was nice enough and called the manager to ask for a refund but of course this person said “definitely not” and offered to put us in a different building where the rooms were supposedly nicer. At that point my boyfriend and I were also off put by shady people going in and out of some room on the 2nd level. Great stop to get a good night sleep no bed bugs !!Has a gas station down the street and not far from the highways and it’s cleaner then the rest of the hotels on Cicero

Friendly service and clean rooms. Hot water in the shower and great water pressure. Heater worked great during this cold weather and they are pet friendly. This is definitely the spot to stop for the night
