2025.10.23 ~16:00 after checking-in for a Campsite at Raven Rock S.P., i went for a hike (~5.7 miles Loop) of Campbell Creek and Lanier Falls. The trails were in good condition; Campbell Creek, and Lanier Falls were scenic and nice. Saw no other person on-the-trails. A sweet solitude walk for me 👍😊 Btw, Raven Rock S.P. Campground was nice and quiet (not many Campers); clean bathroom/toilets, and well-maintained. And the Rangers were professional, helpful, and friendly👍🙃
Loved our time at Raven Rock. We stayed 3 nights with our RV and 2 dogs. You can hike from campground to the park, I recommend walking to the park if you can handle the extra walking, because driving into the park gets backed up sometimes due to parking. We did the Raven Rock Loop trail (gorgeous views, be prepared for lots of stairs) and the Northington Ferry Trail (better if you want less people, we were the only one on that trail on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, so we enjoyed the beautiful view of the creek at the end all to ourselves) The campsite was very nice, we were at site 15. Only thing to note, is the site had little to no shade. Glad we had a canopy especially for the dogs, otherwise we couldn’t spend much time out there without it. Definitely bring something for shad
This is a really nice campground with good sized sites that are easy to get in and out of. Bathhouse is very well maintained. Haven't stayed in a cabin yet but I hope to, they look very comfy cozy. There's a trail at the start of the loop that you can take over to the visitor center and/or parking for the other trails. Quiet location too.
Very well developed Campground area, we stayed in the cabin which has a queen size bed and two wooden bunk beds, concrete floor is easy to clean. They provide electricity, heating, air conditioning and ceiling fans. You will be given a unlock code for the electronic lock for your reservation. Water and trash are close by and there is a well-kept bath house that is cleaned twice a day. Gravel driveways, fire ring, and double hook Lantern Pole are on site they're also two Adirondack chairs that stay up underneath the overhang of the cabin. There are Camp hosts that will check on you and make sure everything is okay they also sell firewood and deliver it to your site. Highly recommend, this is one of nicest Camp facilities I've ever been to, not crowded between campsites at all and very wel
Nice newer campground, clean bathhouse. The tent pads are quite large. Plenty of water spigots and trash & recycling cans. They don't allow alcohol. Not a ton of privacy on any sites, and some sites are more shaded than others. The gravel driveways for the sites are mostly very long, plenty of room for an RV or multiple vehicles. There are some cabins as well as tent & RV sites, they looked nice from the outside. Bike trails start right at the campground, and the main park with hiking trails is only a half mile walk. Overall a nice place, but I'd imagine tent camping in the summer would be very hot.
