Ramona Valley Inn

We stayed at the Ramona Valley Inn fornour son's wedding. The only reason we stayed there was because the hotel we booked screwed up our reservation. The room smelled bad, I found stuff on the floor that the housekeeper missed from a previous guest. The A/C unit would not stay on the first night. The temp in my room was hot, then freezing. There was NO soap dish in the shower. All of the amenities (soap, shampoo, etc) was outside of the shower and hard to reach. There were NO hooks frontiers or clothes in the tiny closet of a bathroom. My toilet wouldn't flush on my 1st day. They came in and got it to flush, but didn't clean the poop stains off of the toilet bowl. They wanted $1 if I didn't return the key. I told them it was in the room. The table in the room was very wobbly.

Quaint hotel with basic rooms. Affordable rates while passing through to photograph a local trail races. Loved the phone in the room! Rooms really need a thorough cleaning from time to time. Lots of grim in the shower/bathroom and main floor hadn’t been swept or mopped in a bit.

Positive: Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Negative: The schedule for room cleaning has room for improvement. Yhe first 3 weeks room was not on a schedule without asking front desk for service. It improved my final week there.

I am currently staying here for a few days. The shower and bathroom floors had long hair and pubic hair and appeared to not have been cleaned. I spread towels on the dirty bathroom floor to avoid being contaminated with bacteria. No soapdish in the bath. No towel bars. Would it cost too much for management to at least put up some towel hooks?? The television didn't work. The bed was comfortable, but no blanket! This is a slum motel in what could have been a great downtown location.

This place was a -5 stars if I can do that as a review, not only was it filthy. It hasn’t been clean since 1970. I felt like I got monkeypox just standing there. They have a firm no smoking policy yet it reeked as somebody literally stood in front of our door and took a bong hit. We had to leave a little early left our charger behind. She gave us such a hard time about mailing it. Don’t pay over 100 bucks to stay at Skid Row in San Diego/Ramona
