I knew this place had good reviews, but even then we were surprised at how nice it was. Great location. Clean. Very friendly desk associates and dining attendants. Good WiFi. I guess the rooms are just normal, and what you would expect of a mid-range chain hotel. But the whole lobby area, dining room, common areas, etc. are well above average. They are very nice, indeed! It felt like an upscale living community. They have a neat pool that is both indoor and transitions to outdoor. It's a conference center, so they have a large gaming area with pool tables, etc. as well. I"m pretty sure I saw a room for a beauty salon in there. Positive: It is a great hotel for the area. Inside decor is charming. The kids loved the pool. I thought the water was cold. Maybe because a section is the pool is outside. Price was reasonable. My family loved the Restaurant. Negative: The night spotlight shining on the building lights up the room at night.

This is listed as a 3 star hotel, but it is really closer to a 4 star. Its the best hotel in both paintsville and prestonsburg. Its been around a long time and has long had a good reputation. If you travel a lot, you'll notice immediately that it is not your normal hotel. Lots of amenities and everything is well kept, orderly, and clean.

We have been to a lot of different hotels, and this place is BEAUTIFUL! The lobby looks elegant, there was always someone at the front desk. There are beautiful splashes of stained glass. This location is definitely wheelchair accessible. The glass elevators are magical. My kids were gasping at the new experience. I love natural light and there is so much of it here. I love the look outside of the rooms, giving them a tiny cottage feel. The open balcony was breathtaking. The wishing fountain is a definite draw. We made some wishes. There are restaurants on site with other options really close by. It was extremely quiet. All the staff I encountered were nice and responded when spoken too (not everyone does). I love it here. We will be back and I will make sure to take pictures next time.
