Quintessence ApartHotel

Good rooms for the most part. Pretty clean. There is free wifi and it's not far from the usual attractions in LA. There is a fridge, cook top, and other amenities of a vacation rental. It was nice to have the ability to prepare meals. We had to get two rooms and they were right next to each other which we appreciated. It would be nice if there were a few more extra pillows. I also think parking should be included with the rental and not cost extra.

I recently attended a major film festival in Hollywood and Quintessence was not only PERFECTLY located to venues like the Roosevelt Hotel, TCL Chinese Theaters and the Egyptian, but also to the Hollywood/Highland Metro station (direct to Union Station). My one bedroom was spotlessly clean, newly renovated, secure and QUIET with a very comfortable bed. Communication with the management was simple and very responsive - I had an issue with the hot water and they were all over it ASAP. It was exactly what I needed and none of what I didn't (restaurant, pool, room service, bar etc). Plus so much more affordable than the Loews, Roosevelt or W. I would totally stay here again in a heartbeat!

On arrival, I was given the wrong entrance to apartment code. Once in room #100 the floors were definitely not cleaned not swept or mopped the bathroom has makeup on the floor and trash also hair in the tub. Had maid come to room, showed me #200 it was worst the bed had hair and food crumbs. She offered to clean the room, I agreed to cleaning. There is blood or splash of liquid food on kitchen blinds. The pullout sofa had crumbs in it. The baseboards are horribly cleansed. There was trash on the floor in the kitchen and bathroom. The whole apartment smelled horrible I found the smell to be coming from the fridge (that you have to turn on so that takes forever to get cold) However after maid has cleaned room it smells better.
