Quality Suites Near Cedar Creek Lake

Starting with the positives: friendly front desk staff, comfortable bed.|Negatives : room smelled musty, mold in the shower, carpet in the room and hallway was filthy. Metal tissue dispenser was rusty. We only had two towels for a party of 3, and they were not replenished when the room was cleaned. We had a lizard in our room (safely relocated it outside). Only one outlet by the bed, which the lamp was plugged into. Breakfast consisted of bad coffee, dry cereal, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal. No protein or fruit options. They need to replace the carpet and update the rooms amenities.

I booked two hotel rooms in advance for a birthday party and clearly communicated this to hotel staff prior to arrival. There were 8 children total, however only 4 were staying overnight. The second room was booked specifically so the other children could use the pool, which I confirmed ahead of time. At check-in, we were given the pool code with no issues or concerns mentioned. As the children began arriving, we were suddenly told “no parties allowed,” and shortly after, the hotel placed an “out of order” sign on the pool, despite it having been open and functioning. Because of this last-minute decision, we had to load up all 8 children—already in swimsuits—on a cold day and take them back to my house to accommodate them. Caveat, we do not travel with stays in hotels/motels very often. The staff was friendly. The room was fairly clean although the couch pillows were stained, the rest room was noisy with the vent fan apparently running all the time (had to close the door during the night), and the fridge barely got cold. One big on was the "soft and fluffy pillows," We learned on the way out that housekeeping is directed to stuff the pillows in the pillow cased to form rock hard blocks, with no instruction to unpack them for the visitors. This is supposed to fit some corporate, planned decor

I would be very happy to score this hotel higher if they get around to doing a refresh. There are many items that need refreshing at this point. But I would still stay there again. Nina was very nice on the phone when I needed to change my reservation to add an additional day and the women at the desk during check in and check out were efficient and nice also.

Absolutely the worst check-in, filthiest and nastiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in! Worst experience with Choice hotels, or any other for that matter! We only stayed because we didn’t have a choice!! You need to shut this place down and do a professional deep clean and repair! And hire some folks who don’t give you a key to someone elses room, know how to enter a credit card number correctly, Who care when you ask for assistance! Who don’t run you out when it’s 30 min to breakfast and all I wanted was coffee! I wouldn’t have eaten breakfast here anyways!! This place should be condemned!!
