Quality Inn Thornburg

We had reserved an accessible room with a walk in shower. Upon arriving at the location, the front desk informed us that they only have one room with a walk in shower and it was given to someone else. He said reservations don't know what they have at each location. When we showed our disapproval, we were told they would refund our money and we could go across the street! It was late and we weren't going to try to find another room. So we took the one that was reserved for us. The room was also a disappointment. Definitely needed a remodel. The door had a crack between the door and the frame, there were several holes and cracks in the walls, very dusty in nooks and crannies. Location is probably the only good thing, I booked a room and there was beer cans everywhere and it was all dirty, front desk said the room service must’ve missed it , got moved next door and the room smelled so bad like cigarettes, I requested another room on the second floor and “way cleaner then the down stairs”, the bathtub is super dirty and gross and the curtains are dirty, there is a lingering smell of urine all the time in the restroom room 201, even when I cut the shower on it just reeks of urine, it’ll do since my jobsite is down the street, but never again. Service was okay not anything crazy.

This hotel has not been updated as far as Decorah but what it lacks in this area it makes up in service and comfort. Its clean and quiet its located in a very good area, Checkout is late i loved this part. The price is wonderful as well, I would have given 5 stars on everything but i picky. If it was more modern but i was only there to sleep not make it home! and Yes it is a 2.5 start hotel.

Positive: Not much Negative: The first non smoking room smelled like pot so we were moved to another room. This room was horrible dirty. We were so tired that we just went to sleep and tried not to think of the horrible dirty bathtub and walls and floors

DO NOT STAY HERE....THESE ARE BAD PEOPLE...I would recommend that no one ever ever come near this property. We were unaware of the $50 deposit had no more money to my name because my husband has congestive heart failure we were traveling back home the property refused to waive the $50 deposit so I had to cancel the reservation fight to get my money back which I still haven't gotten now we're going to have to sleep in the car in 30° weather with congestive heart failure and a port hanging out of his chest because Quality Inn didn't want to waive the $50 deposit . I also cried I begged I pleaded we stayed here before and they've never had a problem out of us but for them not to waive this under the circumstances and him being so sick I just I'm beside myself . This is what kind of people run
